Personal Lupus Story

My journey began earlier than I could keep records of; I was the most hyperactive kid in all grades. My sickly journey began in college, always testing positive with malaria and weakly most of the time. I began having joint pains and tested positive with arthritis, which was “treated”. I looked forward to starting a family but little did I know a monster called Lupus was awaiting. I went through a series of tests, and numerous hospital visits followed. Being admitted and readmitted become the order of the day luckily, I met a family of people living with lupus, and this gave me hope to live more years. Currently, I am working as a teacher and taking a day at a time.
